India, EU to develop their dialogue and coordination over Afghan disaster

India and European Union can be increasing their dialogue and coordination over Afghanistan. On Tuesday PM Narendra Modi mentioned the urgent situation with a prime EU official forward of International Minister S Jaishankar’s assembly with EU International Ministers in Slovenia on Friday coinciding with the 16th version of Bled Strategic Discussion board.

“Spoke with @eucopresident Charles Michel, President of the European Council, concerning the evolving scenario in Afghanistan. Additionally reiterated our dedication to additional strengthening India-EU relations,” Modi tweeted.

Slovenia holds the rotating presidency of Council of the European Union for the interval July to December 2021.

On this capability, it should host a casual assembly of the EU International Affairs Council on September 3, which can be attended by EU International Ministers. This format, often known as the Gymnich assembly, is a spotlight of every Presidency.

A particular invitation has been prolonged to Jaishankar by the EU Presidency to take part on this casual assembly and work together with the EU FMs, sources stated.

Focus of discussions is more likely to be on developments in Afghanistan and the Indo-Pacific EU’s Indo-Pacific Technique is anticipated in September 2021. On September Three Jaishankar will define India’s Indo-Pacific technique on the Bled Strategic Discussion board.
