Born on August 9, Houston was grown up in Newark, New Jersey, prior to rising to worldwide fame and reaching a level of achievement in the music industry rivaled by few. In 2012, she passed away but her influence on music lives on and Houston remains one of the most unbeaten female artists of all time.
On Instagram, singer Jennifer Hudson posted a video of herself on Friday, singing the ‘Happy Birthday’ song and noted in the subtitle that so many special ‘Leos’, referencing the astrological sign, impacted her life in ‘the most stunning ways.’One of those exceptional people was Houston and Hudson dedicated the song to all the ‘beautiful leading Leos out there.’
On Instagram, in a second post, Hudson paid tribute to Houston especially, calling her ‘the voice’. Houston’s song ‘You Were Loved’ was also quoted by Hudson.
Hudson wrote, ‘You were loved by somebody, touched by someone. Meant something to someone, held by someone, you touched somebody’s heart along the way, you loved somebody, you can look back and say, you were loved.’
